Jersey 7
England 26
The International match was held on Saturday 11th November where a very strong English outfit totally outclassed the Jersey team. Jersey were up against it before the match had even started, knowing that England were sending probably their strongest ever line up and after the first round of games were already 4 - 7 down. With the aggregate point up for grabs after the second leg they were hoping to reduce the deficit but the match was only ever going to end up one way, that being an England win. Going into overdrive in the second legs just one Jersey player, Alan Le Blond, managed to obtain 2 points and thus a win, with every England player winning 2, if not 3 points to convincingly retain their crown.

Guernsey 1
The match was held on Saturday 12th May between, on paper, two evenly matched teams. Guernsey were looking to make it five wins on the bounce and keep their best ever run between the teams and their rich vein of form going, whilst Jersey wanted to gain some revenge on recent results by ensuring the trophy was not going back on the Condor (should it be sailing).
As it turned out, the later came true, with Jersey winning the crucial games and having the rub of the green in others to emerge victorious, for at least this year anyway.
Also held on the night was the Channel Island Championship, between Graham Bisson and Trevor Gallienne. Graham won the toss and placed Trevor in, who happily responded to the pressure by knocking in 14,000+. With a mid-break fraca in the venue (I'm pleased to say not involving any players) Graham attempted to respond but unfortunately for him, never settled into a routine and very quickly dropped the break. Immediately he turned and congratulated his opponent - that being yet another Channel Islands Championship for Trevor.
